Here’s a man who loves lettering. Jon’s flickr is choc-a-bloc with sketchbook pages of hand drawn type and his website has some fantastic typographic illustration as well as drawings and commercial logos.


Frank Chimero
Frank Chimero is a working and teaching designer and illustrator whose list of clients is mighty, featuring companies such as Microsoft and American Airlines not to mention numerous well-known publications. He keeps a list of interesting inspirational sayings on his site and his blog is a good read too.


Kyle Bean
Brighton graduate Kyle Bean has got some tight skillz when it comes to making things out of paper and card. I actually did a project on my foundation course a few years back that’s pretty much the same as his ‘Disposable Technology’ work, unfortunatly after seeing his final pieces it’s made me want to throw away mine and pretend they never happened. seriously profesh.


Jordan Gray
Jordan Gray mixes typography and illustration seamlessly to create simple yet slick looking graphic design, his poster work being especially impressive. He currently works for Bernstein-Rein Advertising and runs the online comic strip Middlebrow. On top of his impressive design abilities Jordan is also a talented independent film maker.

Lauri Faggioni


You’ll have seen her work but you may not know it. Her beautifully crafted felt animals and objects helped glue togeather Michel Gondry’s ‘Science of Sleep’. Skill, care and attention have lead her to become an award winning, emerging prioneer of the creative world. Especially exciting is her role as production designer on ‘Stereogram-Walkie Talkie Man’ (below)

Seb Lester 
Trained in Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins, he now works in London as a type designer and typographic illustrator.His typeface designs are used by Intel, Dell, The New York Times, The Sunday Times, GQ Magazine and many other companies, institutions and publications worldwide. He illustrates and animates with letterforms and produces limited edition prints and original canvases, which are becoming increasingly popular and collectible. He’s been interviewed by the BBC and The Independent Newspaper about fonts on movie posters and album covers respectively. His work has also been featured in Creative Review, Grafik, Computer Arts,3D World, and numerous other publications worldwide.
